Story:Early August is considered "monsoon season" in Colorado and in 2016 it was an excellent year for it. I was working on my Milky Way photography course at the time, but of course had to get my normal photography in. If I remember correctly sunrise was quite the dud due to heavy overcast skies, but while driving around on Highway 9 in Summit County I came across the farming equipment right below Guyselmann Mountain of the Gore Range. Luckily there was a large parking area off the side of the highway which allowed me to pull off and park. I crossed the highway (carefully of course as this is a very busy highway) to get this shot. What helps add to this is the clouds surrounding Guyselmann Mountain.
The Gore Range is one of my favorite mountain ranges in Colorado, it is also Colorado's youngest range at a mere 16 Million years of age and is considered a fault block mountain rangesimilar to the Grand Tetons of Wyoming and the northern Cascades of Washington
Limited Edition print of 30
Each print is signed, numbered, and hand picked from my portfolio to
become a set of limited edition prints. The print size will vary
depending on the ratio of the final photograph because I keep the
original aspect ratio intended for that image. The final print will come
with a white border on the top, left and right, with a deeper white
border on the bottom for signing and numbering. This also makes it
easier when your framer is mounting.
Paper: Fine Art Satin Paper: This Acid-Free Premium Quality Photo Paper Is Slightly Textured and Maintains a Luster Surface.
*Please note that this
print is solely limited in the sizes available here, and may be
